My passion is educating others on just how impactful nutrition is.

Hello, friends! I’m Jamie. I am a wife and stay-at-home-mom with two kids who are 19 months apart. I made the jump into nutritional coaching after our son experienced health issues that, at times, brought me to my knees. Upon going back to work (after maternity leave) I found myself in a tug-of-war trying to balance caring for my constantly sick child and my full-time job. After finding out we were pregnant with our second child I realized quickly that going back to work wasn’t sustainable (for my own sanity). Our son always seemed wired and it was hard for him to get his body to a resting state. He stopped napping at 19 months. On top of that, he suffered from ear infections which eventually resulted in ear tubes and finally surgery for his tonsils and adenoids (at 2 and a half). We realized not long after that that his speech had been delayed due to those issues – a whole other topic I could discuss.

I thought we were out of the woods but, by age 4, I realized that what seemed like a constant bad cold was actually his body’s inability to detox chlorine (from the pool we visited for swim lessons). This was about the time that I realized something had to give and we needed to figure out what was really happening in his body. I sought the help of a chiropractic neurologist and we began running lab work and adjusting his diet. I saw changes very quickly in his behavior. His ability to focus improved and quiet time activities were no longer a struggle. The meltdowns became less and less because he felt better. We are continuing to do the work – it’s a marathon not a sprint.

Part of my story was realizing the gap in healthcare where nutrition is not discussed much or focused on and pharmaceuticals are handed out for every issue. So many of us are lacking in the vitamins and nutrients our bodies need. Our food isn’t as nutrient-dense and processed foods are everywhere. Convenience and instant gratification have become common – but common shouldn’t also be considered normal (just like so many of our current health issues).

The body was designed well by our Creator and I am constantly working to educate myself on its vast capabilities. Health, to me, requires a broad focus on how every piece of you is connected somehow. Alleviating symptoms is not my primary goal – I want to help you get to the bottom of your health struggles! That said, I am not a doctor and cannot diagnose anything or perform lab work. What I can do is coach you through nutritional practices and help you create a lifestyle that enhances your overall health.

About the logo

Growing up I remember spending time with my grandparents, picking blackberries from their yard and smelling the beautiful roses and dahlias my grandma grew around the house. The flowers were gorgeous and made you feel a special welcome as you walked up to the door. When I envisioned a logo for this business I immediately thought of those flowers. When I looked up the meaning of dahlias some of the words used were “strength”, “change”, and “lasting commitment”. Specifically, the red dahlia symbolizes, power and strength to the person receiving the flower” (Flower Meaning). This description hit the mark perfectly for me! I want my clients to feel empowered after working with me. Empowered to make change. Empowered to learn. Empowered to implement a healthy lifestyle.

I am so thankful to have worked with Jamie! I was in desperate need of a reset with some of my habits and food choices, but I wasn’t sure if I was ready to make a big or drastic change right away. Jamie provided me with small steps, alternatives, supplement/vitamin suggestions and most importantly accountability.

Jamie is the perfect coach whether you are starting out on your journey or if you are just looking for someone to support you as you continue on your health journey. She helps you to set realistic goals and checks in to make sure you are happy with your progress. I am extremely lucky to have worked with Jamie and I feel like my overall health is leaps and bounds better than it was several months ago.

Jamie was very knowledgeable and EAGER to learn more. She was always sharing information that would help me attain my goals. She was always checking in and making sure I valued myself. She valued my mental health as much as my physical one, which meant that I was able to finally value my physical health because I was able to tear down those mental blocks.

I am grateful for the opportunity I had to work with Jamie and enthusiastically recommend her services! Jamie approached each session with a plan asking thoughtful questions and most often steering me in a direction where I was coming to my own conclusions, with her guidance, for best next steps whether in my diet, routine or with supplements. Jamie knows that having her client’s buy-in will make for greater instances of lasting and successful lifestyle change.
